We are seeking a Site Director to help meet the needs of our rapidly growing program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to a center-based Early Intervention program designed to meet the child’s educational, emotional, physical and social needs. This position is located in our Jerome Ave, Bronx office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the overall planning and coordination of the day-to-day activities of the center’s classrooms, teachers and administrative staff including staff, parent and children workshops
• Responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, orientation, supervision, performance evaluations and professional development of center’s clinical and administrative staff
• Assist in the development and execution of the center’s strategic plans including managing budgets and other financial duties
• Plan, develop, direct and monitor initiatives to improve and maintain desired performance targets such as service-delivery data, internal and external (to families) performance progress reports, and measure functional outcomes
• Ensure overall compliance of the program’s goals, standards, and policies and procedures related to NYSEIP, DOH, and IPRO are being met
• Keeps abreast on regulatory policies and current trends in child development, treatment and early intervention programs that may affect the manner in which we conduct business
• Collaborate with teachers and ensure all programs are appropriate and individualized

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education (0-2 Grade)
• Current New York State Early Childhood Education certification in Birth – 2nd Grade
• 2+ years’ experience supervising staff and teachers in an Early Childhood setting
• Strong supervisory and evaluation skills to monitor staff objectively and hold them accountable for expected results
• Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
• Knowledge of standard Department of Health (DOH) practices
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain partnerships with families and NYCEI
• Familiarity with Center-based Early Childhood Education instruction and regulations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
